However, at half-time Pellegrini hauled off Stevan Jovetic and brought on Samir Nasri which saw a formational change. The lack of faith shown in Edin Dzeko to replace Jovetic highlights their shortcomings to partner the Argentine international.

da bet7: The Premier League champions lost their heads at the Etihad tonight, finishing the game with nine men after Yaya Toure and Fernandinho were shown red cards. In truth, City could’ve – and probably should’ve – lost Samir Nasri, too.
Premier League not the strongest league
This isn’t really one just for City, however, following Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City’s struggles this week – with Liverpool the only side to face a side they weren’t expected to beat – questions have to be raised over whether the Premier League is the best league in the world?!
